The Triquetra The symbol on either side of the title of this site is an ancient symbol which probably originated in Northern Europe and Ireland, and spread along with the diasporas of the Celtic people. I believe it is a symbol of Unity. The symbol is a visual reference to the triple deities in various cosmologies and theologies such as virgin, mother and crone or earth, sky and sea. It was later appropriated by the Christian missionaries who came with the Romans. This was an easy transition because both cultures had triple deities and the image contains within it the form vesica pisces which is the form of the fish adopted by the early Christians as their sigil, the sign of the fish.
I adopted it because my father named me Trina from trinitas, a Latin word which means trinity. I use it as the symbol of the Agape Group because we are three, united. As a symbol of Unity, oneness of being and non separation from the All, the Triquetra is a symbol for our time.
It has also been used by musicians, television shows and political parties. The Triquetra really gets around. I particularly enjoy the continuity of the heart of its meaning: many into one .The common pronunciation of the word is: try-kwet-trah. I pronounce it try-ket-trah. My personal Triquetra was made by a beautiful man and artist who went by the name of Don Lohr when he lived in this world. Thank you Sir.
The Website My intent for this site is to offer the opportunity for people to reach the understanding that we are divine beings who have taken physical form to interact with each other on this planet of free will. The idea that we are separate from our Source is an illusion. We are multidimensional beings living in a multidimensional reality. Our souls were born on the breath of God into diverse locations throughout the universe. We have come here enjoined for the purpose of participating in this shift of the ages, the birthing of a new paradigm on this plane. And we are one, without separation.
This is a multidimensional site. The aura photo which appears here shows the multidimensional nature of me and my reality. The beings who appear near me in my energy field made their energy very dense to appear in the photo. This was a conscious decision on their part to provide this visual information for those of us who could benefit from this knowledge. Our guides are here with us now.
Many who will visit this site know who they are and what they are to do here. Others are developing that sense of their identity and their path on this planet. My intent for this site is that people find what they need. It may be a deeper connection to their personal divinity, the recognition that their guides are real and that they are loved and never alone. Perhaps someone is seeking information – to make that connection and deepen the understanding.
I like to think of this site in many ways. I often envision it as a sort of hummingbird feeder for souls who want to drop in, take a sip and hit the road again. There is music to listen to which will elevate the frequency of your space. There are mantras here which will invite the energies of transformation into your mental process, your heart chakra, and the bodhicitta. This is a multidimensional space in which you are encouraged to connect more deeply with your guides and your higher soul self.
This website has been graced with the visual and audio artwork of some very creative people. Please visit their websites which appear on my links page.
The works entitled Joy, Bless Your Heart and Grace were created by Anahata Joy Katkin and you will find her websites on the links page. These images lift my spirit and I hope you will enjoy them too. You will see the image Joy on this page as well as a photo of me at 4 or 5. The baby pictures are here to remind you of the absolute beauty and perfection which lies at the core of your essence. Remember this always: You are beautiful and you are loved.
The Pleiades constellation was photographed by Robert Gendler. You will find his website on the links page. I think he takes awesome photos and I always wonder “How
does he do that?”
The music which you hear on the website is Colloquium by Elivia Melodey. This is a crystal bowl piece and the tones elevate the frequency in the space where they are played as do all of her works. Sound is the vehicle for manifestation on this planet. Crystals came to this planet to hold the archetype -unmanifested potential for all that humans hope to evolve into on this planet. So listening to the inspired sound of Elivia's singing crystal bowl music will move you toward your soul's true desire and potential - a place of perfect wholeness. All that's required is for you to listen and if you hold a particular intention, you'll get there even faster! To replay please use the button in the upper right corner of each page.
Avalokitesvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion and the Bodhisattva Vow
Avalokitesvara was a man who worked hard on himself and was about to Ascend. In the ascension process it was as if he had climbed a high hill on which was a stone wall. He stood on the wall with one foot raised to cross to the other side and, pausing, he heard the cries of those who were staying behind and who suffered. He took a vow to remain incarnate on this plane and help all sentient beings who suffer everywhere; so that we can all ascend together. This vow is called the Bodhisattva Vow and many have taken this vow as part of their spiritual practice today. Avalokitesvara often appears to those in need in the form of the goddess Kuan Yin. For this reason he is sometimes called the male goddess. You will notice that many statues of Kuan Yin appear to be androgynous with some more masculine features and postures. The mantra of this bodhisattva is Om Mani Padme Hum, also called the Mani Mantra. Each Dalai Lama is considered to be the incarnation of all the previous Dalai Lamas and each Dalai Lama is the embodiment or incarnation of Avalokitesvara.
Om Mani Padme Hum
You might have noticed the digital mani mantra scrolling across the bottom of these pages. It is also meant to elevate the frequency level as it opens the heart chakra to the frequencies of compassion. The mantra scrolls continuously while this website is engaged. It stays here when you leave…and keeps the Light on for you.
The Gayatri Mantra
I include the long form of the Gayatri Mantra on the altar page. . This mantra is a spiritual invocation, or prayer, asking the universe, or Spirit, or Creator, for conscious enlightenment of the mind. When I am in need of a new way of looking at my process, when I am working on my spirit and am stuck in a certain pattern of thinking, this mantra saves me every time. When I am in chaotic environments I repeat this mantra silently and the chaos is transformed. I believe it is a manifestation of my belief that when one person transforms others around him are affected and also transform. Try it. This material can be found in the book Healing Mantras by Thomas Ashley-Farrand, along with many other beautiful mantras.
Since this website is about esoteric forms I won’t talk about that aspect of me who has a day job and a grown daughter and drives way too fast. While all these statements are certainly true, they belong to that other me. Here I am going to talk about the magical aspect of me – tree. I have been blessed with an enchanted life. For much of my life I have hidden this larger and more beautiful aspect of my truth because I was taught to try to blend in as a child and not to talk about what was real and true for me. Because I was different in a time when differences were not celebrated I proved to be a challenge to my parents during much of the time we spent together.
The other little girl you see on this page is me at the beginning of my time. She is the core of who I am today. She was a magical child. I knew then that everything was connected, that most “things” were sentient beings whose energies were not significantly different from my own. I talked to the tree spirits in the trees and even those lingering in the furniture. My mom told everyone they were my imaginary friends. My guides talked to me constantly. I played with elemental beings: sylphs and ondines. When I looked at people I saw their faces and hovering over those faces I saw images of who they really were in their heart. Or, perhaps I saw what they showed me of who they felt they were without their social masks. I was adept at shape shifting and bilocation during this young life of mine. These were skills which I brought with me from other parallel lives. We are inclined to use the term past lives to describe this, but since all times are “Now”, that would be a misnomer.
During this time I lived in a very enchanted place called Key West, Florida and I was a student at the Convent of Mary Immaculate. There I was taught by the nuns of the Sisters of Notre Dame, a teaching order of long suffering nuns…and my guides who would pull me out of class for their own lessons: that we are divine beings, that we are not separate from the All That Is, that everything is connected. I learned that the universe, all of creation was made of tiny golden particles of energy which were fluid and transient in nature. They told me I was here in this special place of free will to choose, to learn and evolve. I remember the moment when I understood that I was not my body but that my body was the vessel which carried me, the Soul. They showed me visions of other times and spoke in my ear. I was literally never alone. Viewing my trances, the nuns wrote notes to my parents that I daydreamed too much in class.
One day it became too much for me. I was an adolescent and wanted to be like everyone else. I stopped listening; still they talked. When I refused to listen they found other ways to communicate. I developed a form of clairsentience in which I “knew” what I would formerly have ‘heard.’ A favorite technique to communicate was the flying books. They would land at my feet or stick out from the others and still do to this day. (Several years ago I met Gregg Braden’s Walking Between the Worlds: the Science of Compassion in that way.) During this turbulent teenage time the air crackled with electricity around me, electrical equipment wouldn’t function, watches stopped and when friends came too close they were zapped by bolts of electrical current. While I tried to blend, it didn’t improve my standing in my community of ‘friends.’ Finally, a traumatic event occurred and, fractured, I went into the silence for a very long time. Many years later, when I turned away from the silence, they were still with me and the dialog, which never for one moment ceased, was heard by me again. I know how fortunate I have been and I want you to know that you are never alone, that you are loved and that your guides talk to you in this same way. I know that there are many others out there who have had the types of experiences that I described and I want you to know that it’s
fine and beautiful to be who and how we are. We are all perfect as we stand.
Blog This site currently has two blogs. The Agape blog is the venue for my mental process: what I am pondering at the moment; stuff I’m working out in my personal process; ideas I’m kicking around for future discussion– the
usual egoic processes one sees on a blog. I want to show the steps I go through
in my transformative process: where I stumbled or fell and what I learned then
and understand today. My mother always said I had to learn everything the hard
way. It was true then as it is today. I will share the many lessons that were
presented to me in the usual odd ways we experience them and how I tried to wiggle
out of the homework. I will also use the agape blog to share channeled information
which was presented to me in telesessions and private readings. I think a lot
of the information I get in these sessions apply to everyone and should be shared.
The second blog is associated with the classes I sometimes teach and is called
Tree’s Playhouse. Here I can share some of the course material I teach. You might find information about crystals, Reiki, energy fields and how to clear those, mantras I love and other things that pop up for me.
I am incredibly new and naïve at this website thing and have just learned that I can have guest bloggers if I choose and I do so choose. My brain is already chomping through a list of people with whom I would enjoy sharing my blogs.
